High speed chase smashes 2 police cars
Officers were dispatched to the area of Panama Lane and Wible Road late Friday night for reports of a drunk driver.
When officers spotted the pickup truck, the driver refused to stop, sparking a chase. During the pursuit, the pickup smashed into two police cars, disabling one of them.
The other police car continued to chase the pickup, until the truck smashed into a tree on the 900 block of Parnell Court.
The driver was taken to Kern Medical Center with moderate injuries. His name hasn't been released.
The officers whose patrol cars were hit were not injured.

He should go to jail for life and pay every penny of the costs of this crime. Wake up people, actions like this cost us all. My heart goes out to the family who's wife, mother and friend was murdered last week by a drunk driver.....

he was born in the united states has insurance and a good job, people make mistakes but dont forget about the firefighter that killed a woman for driving drunk talk about people like that first before you talk about others

Hello Ding Dong!!!! Drunk Driving is Drunk Driving no matter who is driving a good worker/father figure or a Firefighter, just because the person you are talking about was lucky enough not to kill anyone, doesn't make it right. Again he was just plain lucky he didn't kill one of the police officers. Now stop, saying we all make mistakes does not count for drunk driving, you know you have been drinking so don't drive. Again I hope his kids grow up like him and hit you, I wonder if you will fill the same way. After all they are good kids, it would make it all right.

of course drunk driving is drunk driving nobody said he was should not be punished and nobody should be driving period but dosent give anyone the right to say that they have no insurance and that they are illegal...dont discriminate on race...cuz alot of people are driving without insurance and nobody should go through something like that and you know what kids learn from there parents mistakes to not grow up doing bad things yes he will be charged thats the right thing to do nobody is saying he should get a slap on the wrist i wasnt the one who put he was a good father figure but i did right everything else pinche cabrona

This guy could have killed someone during that chase, if he is such a good person why did he run and assaut the BPB? Guys like him are the reason why we have so many screwed up laws. We loose more and more freedom so guys like him, or worse can run amuck and do as they please. And all their supposed to get is a slap on the hand? Thats BS........break the law a pay..................

all you people need to shut up and mind your buisness what he did is what he did he will face the consequences no need for racial remarks nobody likes to be called names..im mexican but born in the united states grow up people drunk drivers dont deserve a slap on the wrist i think what the person was trying to say is that he shouldnt get a slap on the writst read it right....and didnt a fire fighter kill that poor women and injure a daughter they all should think about getting behind a wheel when intoxicated not cool not right but im sure the families are upset also they now right from wrong and thats what that person was trying to say

No where in here was his race mentioned... So how do you know what race he was. He committed the crime and now he will pay for it. Why does everyone have to be so negitive about every little thing they see... Its definately Bakersfield for ya...

I don't recall any racism in this post. I personally don't care what his race is, he was wrong in what he did. How can I not be negitive? We spend Billons in CA to arrest, try and if convicted house people who do minor too horrible things every year. Why do we as tax payers have to foot the bill? Why are there honest familys that struggle every day and still don't have the comforts that inmates do? Why do inmates in CA have better heathcare than I do? This is some of the reasons I think inmates as well as anyone who breaks the law should have to pay restitution for every penny it costs from handcuffs to release. They can work just like we do..........take CA back.
